A sunny day in November

This is a smallish (12x16 cm approx) sketch of the southernmost farmhouse on Gotland, not far from where I live. The view fascinates me since it is always different. Quite a simple landscape with small houses, some trees, fields with or without crop and the sea at the back. I have of course many times thought of painting it, and the other day I made this sketch after making a car trip in the beautifully sunny weather. I started by watching Oliver's sky video, which helped me a lot to get a start. I am planning to make a larger painting from this, but am not sure how to upscale. Maybe another composition (I made some thumbnails to try out some alternatives)? Better use of aereal perspective (I would like the row of trees to fade more into the background)? Any thoughts and comments are highly appreciated. This is my first post in this forum, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to advance my own efforts. Looking at other's work and reading your thoughts is so helpful. Thank you!

A second attempt (same size different paper) trying to vary and soften the back row of trees and setting the front row at an angle. The shadow in the sky is the paper buckling and the light coming from the window at the left. Any further comments are most helpful.
