Off to Work
Compilation of local scenes around the Mid-Van-Isle, BC. Tug is from the Nanaimo Harbour. I placed it passing the north end of Salt Spring Island, heading off to sea. As usual, I am pleased with parts and not so much with others. I simplified the sky and changed the mood because I have been struggling through my practice of clouds. Ref photos included. It still feels a little flat to me. Critiques welcome.

Ken, I don't know much of anything about boats and marker lights. I only know that this new version is visually satisfying and seems more correct to my eye than your composition did previously. I knew something was bothering me, but I didn't quite know what.
It is such a nice painting... Too bad you cannot do on your painting what you did on the computer.....or can you? 😊
