View from my window
After much wrangling with technology, I hope I have solved my image posting problem. Following Ollie's advice to 'paint a landscape that you are emotionally involved with' this view was an absolute must as it is largely responsible for our move to this glorious part of Scotland last year. I have many photos of this but again, choice was a no-brainer- this is not only current but easier to tackle than misty morning, rosy evening light or -10c of frost and ice. I used 12x9 Baohong 140lb rough as I understand it is very forgiving, and I tried to stick to a limited palette. I enjoyed painting it and am fairly pleased with it except for that ugly skyline - I mistimed my mountaintops and they bled into the sky, my attempts to correct left that hideous dark line. Time to rewatch Ollie's'where sky meets Land' lesson. Comments/criticisms very welcome.

Apologies for the absence of your painting of the reference photo above. It must have floated off into the ether. Ihave tried again under the title of 'Advice would be appreciated, please' but will also try to put it here wher I originally intended. Any critique/ comments would be much appreciated, whether regarding my painting or pathetic attempts to manage the technology!
