It is a long time since I posted something. I had a long struggle with my painting, never satisfied with the result. Also a serious dip in inspriration. But autumn is such a wonderful season. The colours of the sky and the softness of the early norming mist was worth a try.

My paper is a 100% cotton from "De Middelste Molen" a museum papermill very close to where I live. It is easy to damage, so no masking fluid, no fiddling with your brushes, but it needs good clean painting. But it has such a wonderful texture, it was just what I needed for this scene.
