Along the lake-side path I regularly walk, a great blue heron is usually perched on a dead tree limb that has fallen into the water close to the bank. I've been seeing this bird at the same location since November and the bird is not disturbed even though I am only 10 feet away on the shore. I finally decided to capture the scene in watercolor. I am particularly taken by the calm of the bird and the reflections.
