Morning Mist and Reflections
On a recent early morning walk, the air held a mist and the bridge over Lake Carnegie was a beautiful reflection in the placid water. I did a value study of this scene that I posted earlier. Now I am posting my attempt to capture the scene in color while maintaining the misty feeling and muted light of the morning. Suggestions on painting such a muted subject are welcome.

Your have captured the misty feeling well Patty. A couple of small niggles though. The reflection of the bridge seems too solid as though the river stops and goes around it. Also the bridge seems to come to a halt when it comes to the woods looking as though cars would fall into the water rather than travel onwards. Sorry to be critical as it is a lovely picture of a misty morning.
