Twin birch
Greetings from Gothenburg, Sweden!
A workshop in art therapy earlier this year sparked my interest in watercolor. I then, as one does, looked for tutorials on YouTube and found Olly‘s to be the ones that resonated most with me. I think it was when he said something like, painting the landscape is about portraying/capturing the way you feel about it.
I’m glad to be part of this forum and look forward to seeing everyone’s paintings, get inspired by different styles and learning more about the medium and techniques.
The first day of my summer vacation I committed to painting a little every day and now it’s been a couple of weeks. Every morning I paint the sky (it’s getting quite dark though, so maybe I’ll have to start taking a picture at lunch, but I digress) and I try to photograph and later paint the landscape/nature scenes from close to where I live.
Wanted to share my latest small painting of a tree in the nature reserve Änggårdsbergen in central Gothenburg.
Happy to receive any comments/critique/tips for improvement.
All the best,
Isa

Thank you Edo! I will look for the video.
