My very first post
I joined this members site this summer, but I've been a bit scared of from postning my paintings. I started painting in the winter a year ago. I really see myself as a beginner, so please be kind.
I'm not happy with this one, but I will paint it one more time. At first I did'nt paint the
foreground, but added it in the ending. But I really messed it up with the shrub in the lover left corner. It was very pretty in the reference photo by Patrick Loftus, but I did'nt manage to put it in my painting in a satisfying way. Maybe I should just have left it out.
Do you have any piece of advice for my second painting? Does it have any good things that I should add even in the second one?

Hi Veronica- welcome to the forum! It took me ages before I posted my first painting, but learned so much since I did! You should be very happy with your painting and your progress! There are a lot of great parts and I particularly like the mountains in the mid ground and also the little bush you are not happy with. If you want to change anything I would suggest using more blue in the distant mountains to emphasise atmospheric perspective and break up the line of green bushes in the foreground with maybe a gap and some variation in the greens which you have accomplished so well in the mountains.
