A watercolour painting I worked on last week. The scene is from a photograph I made quite a few years ago.

The sky was painted in three layers ending with the shades in the clouds. Somehow I feel the foreground is lacking some visual interest although the main focus lies on the distant village. I was a bit hesitant to start fiddling around.

Nice detail maybe. I stretched this paper on my board beforehand. That worked well. I used quite a bit of water in the sky but the paper remained very flat.
