I've been away from the forum for a while. Our dog, Honey, became ill suddenly last winter and we had to say "Goodbye" to her in late November. Our new pup has taken up a lot of our time and attention since January.

Wanting to get back to painting and in order to help with some inspiration, I have recently been looking at a couple of books by one of my favourite watercolour painters, Rowland Hilder. He always seems to achieve an arresting harmony of colours. I'm hoping that some of his extraordinary ability to render the atmosphere of a place has rubbed off.
