Sunlit path through woods

With it so cold outside, I just went through my photos to find something a bit leafy and sunlit to paint. I also wanted to work on something that involved a bit of negative painting. This is a very special park in the Hague called Sorghvliet that I spend a lot of time in sketching and painting.

I have this tube of Daniel Smith Ultramarine and I don't use it often as it granulates so much, but here I used it in the path shadow and its separated out and given me a nice happy accident.

Paul, this painting gives me such a feeling of joy! It would brighten viewer's day to be taken visually along that sunlit path as you have taken us, as viewers and fellow artists. There is not one critique I could make of it or any suggestion to offer. I love your style and way of working. The DS Ultramarine stepped up and made its contribution, didn't it? πŸ˜€
