Sunlit Glacier

This reference photo is from a friend who went to Patagonia for trekking.

While the landscape is great, the overcast skies make it a little less interesting. I have added drama and focal point  by bringing in light and shadows, contrasting cool and warm areas

The painting was done in 3 hours with large washes for the glacier, foreground and sky. The details were limited to background mountains and the edges of the glacier. I wanted to add more darks and shadows to the foreground  hill but fear that I might overwork the painting and distract from the focal point

It's not easy an subject, at least for me, to paint the glacier...

I have the feeling that's sun litted (in your painting) and if it is, maybe the sky could have been a little brighter, on the right side and less clouds...I don't know...
