I went out to paint the other day and work for a couple of hours at our local park in the rose garden. This is the studio version because the plain air version got too muddy.
Hi Eric, that’s a very nice painting. It has a pleasant atmosphere that I think reflects the time you were in that garden. What directly caught my eye are the directional lines in the painting. The vertical and diagonal lines in combination with your excellent use of perspective. Your use of the complementary color red in the flowers is the icing on the cake. 👍
