This road is known as the Hume Highway and is the main route between Sydney and Melbourne. Gundagai is a small rural town and is the home of the iconic statue ‘Dog on a Tucker Box’. I have travelled this road many times and have had several overnight stays in Gundagai. On this particular occasion the sky had great appeal and I thought all the elements of the photo would combine to make a nice painting. The drawing and painting were completed using the photo. I’m quite pleased with the outcome.
