The Posbank
Thank you Olly and Edo for this great initiative!
The Posbank is a heather in the Netherlands famous for its hills an undutch far views. I've tried to capture the depth while the heather was in full bloom. I've been painting and drawing for 4 years now and not just landscapes. I love watercolor but do not have as much time as I would like to to go out and paint in the field.
I'm quite happy with this painting but wondering if the tree is too dark. What do you folks think?

Thank you Olly for your eleborate answer. I will do a small sketch later to try this out and see what the composition looks like then. When going out in the field I find finding the right composition one of the hrdest things to do, even when using a frame. Also you sometimes may have to help the composition a bit, like in this case.
