I have always been attracted to oast houses for its unique shape. I had an opportunity last year to visit Sissinghurst castle in Kent and to my pleasant surprise, there were oast houses by the castle. The painting is based on a couple of photos I took while I was there.

BTW: I think the painting would have been better without fence posts. What do you think?
