Wild skies
I'm focusing on skies. I'm fascinated by lagutina watercolour on Instagram, and am trying to work out how she does it. She paints wet on wet on HP paper. I wet the paper on both sides and then run a sponge over it to press it to my wooden board. I start with the lightest values into wet and then as I go darker work with thicker paint. The paper dries as I go along so Im have to keep in mind that I need to wait or speed up depending on how soft or hard I want an edge. I premix colours to save time. Its a real roller coaster ride when you are in the zone with this. Once the sky is reasonbly dry I paint in the horizon.
Ive also added a photo of my work set up in the living room, as its just fun to show.

The sky is so well painted that the horizon seems to be painted on to a photo!
Nice to see your work-space!
