It’s still chilly here, but it’s wonderful to get out and discover those first hints and whispers of greens appearing in the woodland around one of my favorite hang-outs, the extensive marshlands near me. This area is a treat in any season, but I love to visit to capture those early promises that Spring is truly on its way!

The watercolor sketch is captured from a slightly different spot a ways to the right of where I’m standing to take the photo, but here you can see the some of the mounds of rolling hills that fade into the distance along the marsh. I didn’t think to take a photo from where I actually painted.
