Village Path (two pigments)

The village where I live has lots of tree lined paths snaking their way through the streets and housing. Great for walking the dog. After seeing Edo's recent post, Lighthouse in Two Pigments, I decided to have go at reworking a village scene I had painted previously but was not very happy with. Too muddy.

I don't think I've eliminated the mud completely, but it was a good challenge to try a version of the scene using only French ultramarine and burnt sienna (both Winsor & Newton). The first painting is in a separate post.

I appreciate you sharing your color choices. I’ve been wanting to purchase some Windsor and Newton
