Reflection study

The below is a study I did following a trip to the country this weekend. I've been playing around with reflections and wanted to give this reflection of the sky and trees around a lake a go. My aim was to focus on the rock and frame it with a somewhat indistinct sky. It somewhat works, though I don't think it's clear enough that the background is a reflection - if I did it again I'd probably make the trees more distinct but paint with horizontal strokes to give a sense of ripples.

Any comments welcome.

Thanks Paul. Yes, I agree. As I mentioned to Kerstin below I think this is a case of an "interesting" photo, but not necassarily one that makes a good subject. The value issue is spot on, and with no horizon and not including where the rock actually connects with the ground its pretty hard to make things relate and connect well. Still learnt something from it, but I'll put this one down to experience and move on!
