In the middle of who knows where

Eleven in the evening on a crisp cold night finding myself waiting for a bus in the middle of who knows where because the trains were suddenly cancelled I was strangely drawn to these silent clouds drifting in the night sky behind the bus shelter.

Thats the full title. ;-) This was painted on Arches Hot Press which is a different beast all together from CP. I wanted to express a sense of stillness and mysteriousness as the night takes over from the day. I used my own fingers to move the paint around in the sky. Its a large painting (A2) which frees you up to let the paint do what it wants. I added some close ups below to show this more clearly.

I really like this, Paul! I've never tried HP paper, so it's interesting to hear (and see!) how it behaves so differently. I love how expressive this is - really looking forward to seeing more from your new direction.
