Backlight

Hello friends,

I had a decent outing yesterday in the afternoon. I did a plein air sketch, but I wasn't happy with the end result and ended up reworking it in a scrap piece of paper from a failed painting. Furthermore, I liked this one more than the "original" so I decided to share. It's a view from the other side of the river bank with a big mass of trees on one side and a park in the other, one can only see just the light hitting the grass on the bottom left side. And in the background the rooftops.

Thank you. I tried to convey the backlit qualities of light hitting the trees. From across the room, it reads really like what I intended. Still can't take decent photos of these paintings. Maybe one day!
