Sunset in the Winter Woods

This is my first sunset and snow painting. It's from a tutorial by Javid. There was no real sketch other than a few lightly painted lines for trees, and the horizon. I used this paper for the first time: Meeden 140lb 10 x 7 block. I liked working on it but the glue when removing the sheet is more aggressive than others. It also buckles a little bit more than others but not bad at all for a much cheaper paper.

And here’s another paint-along from Artefacto School. They seem very focused on selling courses, but unfortunately they don’t really explain the techniques for painting snow.

That said, we prefer not to share paint-along videos in this group.

We would much rather see your own paintings and personal studies.
