This painting is purely imaginative, although I think my time sitting in the dunes has inspired it. I wanted to experiment with lots of wet on wet washes. I applied a fun trick I saw on a YT movie by Christopher Stephen, where he uses a penny wrapped in tissue to pull out the sun. I did it slightly differently, I wet the paper and then used it to pull out the water, I then dropped paint into the wet area around it.
