Rock House

I built this little birdhouse out of Lake Michigan beach stones about ten years ago. It sits upon a cedar post in our garden. I've often thought about trying to paint this scene, but have been intimidated by its complexity. I finally decided to give it a go by simplifying it into a vignette and masking the house and post with masking fluid. A pair of House Wrens gave it a good look this spring, but ultimately found another house on the local market more to their liking. Ah, maybe next spring...

i like your picture! Cause it is so simple, not in the meaning, it is is easy tp paint, this subject needs experienced skills to paint it, but in the meaning, that it is clear. has a clear structure and tells a story. Super!
