A slippery morning snow scene

I took the photograph 14 years ago. Saw the snow and raced out the door to go for a walk along the "Molenviergang" (4 windmills that are still working to keep the area dry) in Aarlanderveen near my home.

I have always loved this picture with the girl on the bike in front of me just barely keeping herself upright. Quite possibly the reason why this painting came out really quickly and I am quite pleased with it for the most part.

I can get so very frustrated with watercolours thinking I will never learn but fortunately sometimes there are also moments like these where it just flows easily.

Lovely picture with well done cyclist, barn, windmill and trees as well as the snow and edging on the path. All the objects are in a horizontal line and these could be more interest if levels of objects were varied
