Thank you so much! It is perhaps a confidence issue, that we get so careful when painting the main characters of our paintings, -be it a tree or whatever, instead of being bold? Fear of ruining a decent background? Haha!!

A lovely painting! You painted a lovelysky and distant mountains. Look at Olivers Youtube channel! He has lots of great videos teaching us on everything from sky-studies to trees and how to manage edges. There is also a book written by him wich is in print and many of us has ordered.

You have really caught the atmosphere.

That is a beautiful scene. I have only painted a couple of years myself, so my advice should be taken lightly. But I often get the advice to let the viewer "in" to the landscape. Oliver did it by painting an open gate. I don't always do that.. For me -it feels wrong. But I totally understand the thought behind. But you caught the light beautifully! And lead the viewer nice with shadows.

Thak you so much! We didn't go all the way to Röros. We stopped for the beautiful christmas-fair in Jamtli. And I think your swedish is better than my english!😄 I did not have nordsvenskar either.
