Thanks Bob. This is is the third version, where I did have a play with the tree shapes a bit more and reduced the snow. I take your point with adding some shading to the track. It might soften the composition. The version above was done on Arches rough which I much preferred to the Windsor & Newton used in this version. The sky works much better in Arches paper or it might just be my technique!

Thank you very much Fi. It was certainly crisp that morning! In real life the picture is much softer than this. For some reason the photo here has much more contrast, which has made given everything hard edges. I might try another. Strangely on Instagram it comes out more like the real thing
