Well, this explains why I suddenly stopped getting notifications from the forum. It's good for me to not live on social media...but, it does mean that I often find myself "playing catch-up."

It appears that I will not be able to make my annual pilgrimage to Fine Creek, Virginia, for Ollie's watercolor workshops/retreats this coming year. My father-in law turns 90 on January 29 in far away Arizona. Then, upon return, my wife has scheduled a knee replacement surgery that will require my "skilled nursing care" for at least a month following.

I don't resent fulfilling my spousal duties, but I'm sad to miss the retreat. I've been to both of Ollie's previous and have come to look forward to it. He's an outstanding teacher and a joy to be around (not to mention, a pretty decent artist too.) If anyone has the chance to attend one of the Fine Creek workshops, I highly recommend it.
