Does this mean I might have some artistic tendencies?

This post is meant to be a bit of fun....

I have an elderly relative who is quite lonely and sometimes calls me "just to talk." Although her chatting can be quite lengthy at times, I consider that my listening to her is a gift to her of my time. And she is such a deserving person.

Not much is required of me in the way of listening, but just some signs that I am still on the line, or a question now and then as she shares her stories of the very interesting life she had lived. I truly do enjoy her, but sometimes, I confess, as the conversation can get a bit long, I "multi-task" with doing other quiet things while listening, like making a grocery list or some such paperwork. The other day I spied a small palette of paints and a brush where I had laid them down within reach, but alas no paper! The only thing to hand to paint on was a long white business envelope, but I grabbed it, and pulled my glass of drinking water over, and these doodles are my results. Bless her heart, she never guessed, but I think I am going to keep a small sketchbook, paint, and a brush nearby where I sit to talk with her for the next time she calls. 😊

Nota bene: The paper of an envelope is not very accepting of watercolor πŸ˜‰

So you are the second man to affirm men's inability to multi-task, like Marco below. LOL. I envy the artists who can do the kind of sketching you describe doing.

I'm finding that I'm actually looking forward to future conversations now. But I am going to have some decent paper to hand!
