Eyres Simmons, anyone?

Hi everybody,

This little watercolour gem had managed to stumble its way over to Oslo somehow, and I just went out and bought it for £30. The seller wasn't able to make out the artist's signature, and on the back someone has written "possibly from Canada" in Norwegian. Well, I did some more digging, googled possible variants of the presumed letters in the signature, and I think this has to be a piece by the late, Cornish watercolourist, Charles Eyres Simmons (1872-1955). Also, the scene strikes me as being very "Cornish", after having spent quite some time down there over the last few years.

I would love to know more about the artist, as I adore this little piece by him, so are any of the members familiar with him, or know where this scene is from? I only know what I have read via google, which isn't very much. Anyway, here it is:

I echo what Jon said, except I did find this short bio of Mr. Simmons in the Cornwall Artists Index: https://cornwallartists.org/cornwall-artists/charles-eyres-simmons . Apologies if you've seen it already.
