Using soft water for your Skies

I love the sky series from Oliver Pyle, but does he tell us all what we want to know? The answer is, maybe he don't know the best trick to create soft skies! I use it for many years, only for my sky and water. And you know they look good. Because it is weekend you have time to practise this technique. When I did hear from it, I was feeling so happy. Why did I not think about this myself.

The joke aside, I use distiled water for my paintings because our water in Albuquerque can be quite hard. The Water Authority blends a palatable mixture of drinking water from several groundwater wells and river sources. It is also chlorinated. I prefer the consistent results from a jug of distilled water. Your soft sky paintings are very pleasing.
