Practising basic techniques painting simple mini landscapes

Hi everybody,

I find painting semi-improvised mini landscapes a stress free way of maintaining basic techniques. For these, I tried very hard not to think beforehand what to paint, but rather to put down whatever sky wash that came to mind, and then decide what to paint on the basis of that. They are by all means just quick doodles - some turn out nice, some turn out not very nice, but that's not important. What's important is what I've banked in terms of playing around with paint consistencies, colour mixing, brush strokes etc. I really recommend it - have a nice, doodly Sunday!

Lovely collection of minis and a very good way of getting out of a creative slump.
