In my latest update email from painters-online there is reference to a lovely article by Edward Wesson from the Artist Magazine in 1962 - Watercolour Through the Seasons - Autumn. The article is re-published in full and at the end provides links to the other three articles in the series - Spring, Summer, Winter. The articles are mostly concerned about mood, simplification to achieve this and the colours of the season. The prose is such that, I at least, felt I was there with him drinking in the mood and rhe atmosphere.
