A warm afternoon at Portland Head light
I visited this lighthouse a couple years ago on a trip to Maine, and it has always inspired me. I have tried my hand at painting it a few times, but this is the first time that I have been happy with how it turned out. It was also just a really fun painting to do.

This is a lovely expression of a rugged day at the coast - sea breeze, waves smacking into the rocks, a lighthouse issuing the necessary warnings! It's evocative and I like it a lot!
