This one was a real challenge - thanks Edo! Planned to do a full version but got distracted... sketchbook studies instead. These would be my normal studies to work up to the actual painting. on the left is pencil, with a very light bit of color. then a value study thumbnail to get my lights/darks understood, and finally on the right a colored version to get colors right.
