I too like the choice of the scene and the rendering. The sky is lovely as are the trees and shadows in general.. I am painting some snow scenes in a class and find that misesof blue and purple give nice effects in terms of flatness of the snow and different buildups and tracks, I agree that there is too strong yellow in the snow.
