I follow all of your points but the "cut in the background from the bigger trees on the right, so you connect them" point - do you mean that if the poles are starting taller, then the ones in the back are taller and therefore cast shadows connecting, or that being a bit taller makes more natural repetition/connection to the trees? thanks again for your input, I am just learning!
