As you may already know, this forum can no longer continue in its current format. Our website host, Wix, provides the technology for the forum, and is no longer supporting this. They will be migrating all hosted forums to their alternative platform, Wix Groups. Our options are to implement this transition or close the forum.

It is evident that Wix Groups will be unable to provide the simple functionality that the forum currently uses, and is designed to provide a community/social media style operation, through an app-based user experience. We are unsure if this will suit our forum until we make the transition, as there is no option to beta-test it, so we are somewhat ‘in the dark’ with the transition.

Our intention is to make the switch to Wix Groups on Friday of this week and then explore the functionality and structure that it offers. Our understanding is that once this transition has been made, you will likely start receiving email notifications from Wix Groups. Until we have become familiar with the new platform and its capabilities, we will not be in a position to advise on any technical or administrative issues regarding this, so please bear with us on that.

We hope that Wix Groups will enable us to continue to operate the forum, albeit in a different shape. If it ultimately proves to be incapable of delivering an acceptable user experience for us, and most importantly, you as forum members, then we will unfortunately need to close it down.
