Rowney - before Daler - watercolours

Does anyone have experience of pans of "Artists' Moist Watercolour" by Rowney? I just found quite a big unused lot of halfpans in a sale and thought they might complement my present set of Winsor Newtons. I guess they are quite old -I found information saying Rowney without Daler was before 1983 something. But on the other hand, as they look well kept and since they are unused in original wrapping, they might well be OK. I have similar prehistoric WN pans inherited from my parents which are perfectly useful, though some, especially earth colours, are hard to rewet and some are crumbling. Any advice and thoughts on this would be most appreciated.

I have a lot of my mother's tubes of W-N paint. Some are no longer made, especially some reds and pinks. (Also, too much Alizarin). Some had dried up but still had a lot of paint in the tube, so I split the tubes with a knife and dowsed them with distilled water, and all I have do do when I want them is to re-wet again. add water from a spray bottle. When they were wet again, I wrapped them in foil and they can be more easily revived. I use the split tube as a pan. My father sold W-N paints and she got tubes of "experimental" colors, including a 15mm tube of toxic Vermilion, which I put in a Household Hazardous Waste collection in our city.
