This is a picture I took from Valley of Fire during sunset. The striking color where catches the sun is what attract me to start with. But when I started to painting it, I have doubts and went for a more muted tone.

This end result confuses me. Perhaps I should change the blushes composition to lead the eyes to the rock formation when reducing color and texture?

I don't know. Feedback and input please!
