I always wondering why someone gets a advice like this? Probably it is a typical Arches artist. When you get used to a paper and after awhile you try another paper and try to paint on that paper like you did on Arches it probably fails. Because Arches is the world easiest paper to paint on. When you try to paint on other papers you need more painting skills. So I would advice, challenge yourself. And when you now and than spoil yourself on Arches, you know you are capable to paint on cheaper papers too. And ofcourse I paint on Arches. But also on Montval Canson. And I love them both. But they need a different approach. I seek the paper with the subject I like to express.
