I also wanted a bit of strong sunlight in the middle ground, as sometimes happens right before a possible storm when the colors of the landscape intensify a bit.
Also, I am debating whether there should be more background trees on the right near the windmill?
Other suggestions or thoughts?

Lovely picture,. Are the 'trees' on left trees or bushes/shrubs? If they are trees I'd make them taller, they would certainly be as tall as the windmill. If they are bushes that's fine.
