Cooks cottage plein air

I'm trying to get out and about more to do some plein air painting. So many people say this is one of the best ways to learn, and I can certainly see why - but, it is so hard to do it well! The below is a spot in Fitzroy Gardens in Melbourne where the 1755 built cottage where Captain Cook lived was transported and rebuilt in the 1930s. Some effects worked somewhat as intended (chimney, some of the windows) but the ivy covered walls need another go.

Any feedback or comments welcome.

Kudos for getting out there and practicing "plein air"! You're in mid-summer now so easier to do than mid-winter here in the Northern Hemisphere.
