Garden Pavilion - Vaux le Vicomte

I like the juxtaposition of the pavilion (which might be a pump house for the water works) with the surrounding "nature" at this garden outside of Paris designed by Le Notre. When Louis XIV visited it, he decided he must have Le Notre design the grounds for Versailles. The painting was done from a photograph several years after my visit.
