Warming up
Before i start anything I always do a little 'warm up'. Above I'm dong one of Olliy's excises about distant trees, I don't why but this always gets my creative juices flowing.
Does anyone else do a 'warm up' or do they go straight into the main work?

Keeping a notebook like this is a great idea! Sometimes I do "little" things like this but they end up lost in a pile or thrown in the trash, which means their future value as a reference is lost. Thanks for posting this.
