Watercolour literature
I have started this topic so that followers of this blog can write about artists and literature that they wish to recommend. I am sure many of you are regular readers of books on the subject and its history.
May I be the first and recommend a watercolour artist who tends to go under the radar but is well worth a look into his prodigious output. Ernest William Haslehust (1866 - 1949) produced watercolours for travel guides by various authors and I find it quite amazing the amount of work he produced over his life most of which was of a very good standard.
I will also post if no one minds, perhaps once a week, of other artists work and literature.

I have recently started following a watercolour artist on YouTube, called James Potter. James is based in Scotland, and he and his wife Tanya travel Scotland seeking locations for watercolour paintings. James paints in his loose, impressionist style and Tanya does the filming. He's worth watching just for the beautiful scenery alone.
