Well, failure is part of the plan. It has to be or I stopped learning. In the words of famous painter Tony Couch: The only way to fail is to give up.

Here is my latest learning experience.

The drawing out of my subject worked fine. A bit difficult locating eye level. But I think its okay.

First wash.

Second wash. And this is where I start doubting the plan. It is cold in colour, and adding warmth becomes difficult. (Don't give up!)

I put in my darks and call it finished. The next one will be with warmer blues, and I will probably put in shadows first. I might also try to change perspective and setting of sun to be able to show more of the people and interesting cast shadows.
